In 1978, when Alicemarie Voorhees began to share her love
for dance with students inside her home in Bamber Lake, Miss
Tracey was just three years old.
It wasn't much longer until more students created the need for more
space. Miss Tracey's father built a new studio attached to
their home, so that Mom could continue to teach dance while
raising her three daughters at the same time.
The years passed and again Alice had more students than she did floor
space. It was then that Alice found her "corner" in The Oakfield
Plaza, the same plaza where we are located today. After twenty
years of success as a teacher and businesswoman, Alice retired
and made the move down to Florida. Thinking her "dance days"
were behind her, no one was surprised to hear that she soon
began teaching tap to a group of women in the Sunshine State.
Miss Tracey continues her mother's legacy with the greatest pride.
In the nine years that she has been directing the studio,
there have been many changes to accommodate Alice's Dancin'
Corner's every-growing enrollment. Miss Tracey's success
and happiness is seeing the joy on her students' faces and
sharing her love for dance with them.
Both Miss Tracey and Alice would like to take this opportunity to
thank all of you for your wonderful support, many friendships,
and the gift of your children throughout the past twenty-nine
years. Miss Tracey and her talented staff look forward to
continuing the tradition of providing quality dance instruction,
with the same love and passion as your children's desire
to learn. |
